Discover the Best Seasons for Cycling in Italy: A Guide to Ideal Months and Scenic Routes

In Italy, the best time to cycle is during the Spring and Fall, when temperatures are mild and there are fewer tourists. Specifically, April, May, September, and October are ideal months for a cycling trip.

During Spring, the weather is pleasant and comfortable, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F) across most regions.
The countryside is at its most beautiful during Spring, with flowers in bloom and rolling green fields stretching out in every direction.

In the fall, the weather remains mild, and the leaves change color, creating an incredibly picturesque cycling experience. Planning a bike tour can be a fun and engaging activity. If you have ideas about potential dates, feel free to let us know. We’re here to help turn your cycling dreams into an amazing vacation.

Cycling in Italy during the summer can be a daunting task due to the scorching temperatures that can reach over 30°C (86°F) in many regions. Nevertheless, if you’re determined to conquer our majestic mountains in the Alps and Dolomites, the ideal time to embark on your adventure would be in June and July. During this period, the snow begins to melt, and the summer crowds haven’t yet arrived, providing a peaceful and enjoyable experience.

Get inspired and put your stamp on your own trip! Whether you want to make some alterations to an existing trip, or make a completely new trip of your own, just drop us a line and we will be happy to build it together with you.

We just came back for a bike trip organized by AndiAmoDai. Andrea did an amazing job planning every detail, from bike routes, guided hikes for non-riders, visits to beautiful towns, meals, breaks, and was very accommodating, helpful and flexible. 100% recommended.

It is not just about the bike. The bike is the rider's connection to all the Italy has to offer - its rich history, great food and great culture. I would recommend AndiAmoDai to anyone looking for a unique riding experience.

Perfect trio tour
What an epic hiking experience! Andrea thoughtfully planned an itinerary that highlighted the region best hikes with knowledgeable local guides, great hotels and visits to local farm to table restaurants. They were flexible in hike changes as weather reports dictated. The hiking guides were personable and enthusiastic when discussing their regions. You could see their pride and love when speaking about their areas. Really enjoyed the spa experiences at terme bath in Bormio and spa at hotel stores

That's amore tour
I think they are very professional / seem very organized. They deal with issues that flare up (and always do) in a very efficient and appropriate manner. From a cycling standpoint - very pleased and impressed. I love that you are so open to feedback and input on our experience. Advice would be to NOT change this! This year's PDF file of the trip with the live links to the hotels and hikes was fantastic, and using What's App consistently as a communication channel was very very helpful. Upfront communication was very good (again extra thanks to Seth!) I could suggest that you be "more strict" with people who have special food needs; e.g. if you declare that you are a vegetarian don't expect to be able to switch to the meat course at the last minute...make it more clear to each person that a diet option isn't flexible by meal and day. I was surprised at how casual some individuals were with flipping their dietary restrictions. Along the same line of thinking, guide people IF changing from a hiker to biker or vice versa that they need to decide this the DAY before not the morning of the day's agenda! Guiding participant's behavior with these extra guidelines will make it easier on AndiAmoDai. THANK YOU for all of the love and care for each and every person's experience. Very noticeable! XXO Keep up the good work. You have good instincts and I can't wait to see what you come up with next. While I thoroughly enjoyed our adventures, I'd love to share some thoughts about the hiking component of these wonderful trips. Though offering both hiking and cycling is brilliant, the hiking experience could benefit from more dedicated planning. Last year's routes were notably more challenging, which likely reflects the different regional terrain. Some of the hikers felt the trails didn't quite match their expectations or abilities. While I personally enjoyed exploring the paths with an open mind, I understand their perspective. Having experienced two trips now, I'd be delighted to contribute ideas for future hiking itineraries - perhaps helping to create routes that better serve diverse hiking abilities while maintaining the trip's wonderful spirit of adventure. The current format feels like hiking takes a back seat to cycling. With some thoughtful adjustments, both activities could shine equally bright, ensuring everyone has their perfect Italian adventure! I think it was another successful trip with lots of connections and memories. Two weeks with 24 people is a lot but the memories will last forever. Maybe a way to evaluate everyone's level of fitness which would give you an idea of how to plan, especially with the hikers. Cyclists seem to be more adaptable and everything worked well. My focus was the cycling. My expectations were exceeded. Personally I could skip the rest days and ride more. A BIG thank you for a great experience riding in Italy!!! Keep up genuine love for what you are doing, your sense(s) of humor, and your attention to detail
